This exhibition marks Hao’s first major US museum solo\, featuring recen
 t work centered on I Witness (2025)\, a three-channel installation that ta
kes up the embodied residue of the COVID-19 pandemic: four participants mo
ve slowly through a well-lit apartment\, their images punctuated by storie
s of loss—an older woman who sleeps alone and rises to clean her refrige
rator\, a group of young people pacing an open field. Hao Jingban lives an

works are in the collection of the M+\, Hong Kong\; Centre Pompidou\, Par
 is\; Frac Bretagne\, Rennes\; the Power Station of Art\, Shanghai\;\, Muse
u d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona\, Barcelona. Huirong Ye is a doctoral
student in East Asian Film and Media Studies at Harvard University. Her cu
rrent research examines the archivalization and institutionalization of me
teorology in modern China\, focusing on how it became configured as a medi
ated domain through audiovisual\, technological\, textual\, and spatial fo
rces\, where visibility\, legibility\, and manageability operate as ideals
within evolving regimes of prediction. Her broader interests include envi
ronmental humanities\, transpacific island and ocean studies\, sensory his
tory\, activist media\, and contemporary art. Huirong holds a BA in Histor
y of Art and Architecture and a BS in Journalism from Boston University an
d earned her Master of Design Studies with distinction from the Harvard Gr
