Patients at a medical office include people using wheelchairs, walkers and canes, so accessibility shapes the whole building. It starts with accessible parking and a level or ramped route to an entrance with an automatic or easy-opening door. Inside, door widths, hallway turning space, accessible restrooms and at least some exam rooms with room for a transfer and an accessible exam table are drawn into the plan.
