Anchor bolt plans in North Florida: what to know

The anchor bolt plan is the first drawing a kit buyer needs, often weeks before the frames ship. It shows the building's outside lines, each column location, the bolt pattern at every base plate and how far each bolt projects above the concrete. It also lists the loads each column puts into the foundation, which the foundation designer uses to size footings. Build plywood templates from it, set the bolts before the pour, and measure diagonals so the corners are square. A misplaced bolt found after the pour can mean drilling and epoxy, so a second check is worth the hour.
