Pull-through or back-in RV garage?

A pull-through garage needs a usable route on both sides. Draw the full arrival and departure, including the gates and turns, before deciding whether a second vehicle door will help.

Draw arrival and departure separately

Show where you approach, pause, align and park. Then draw the departure route. Include tow vehicles, gates, trees and other parked equipment. A concept with two opposite doors is not a workable pull-through layout if the exit side leaves no useful route onward.

Think about the person guiding the vehicle and people walking nearby. Keep the discussion focused on a safe, observable maneuver rather than squeezing the largest possible footprint into the lot.

Consider what the extra opening changes

An additional vehicle door changes the enclosure, available wall storage and the building scope. Ask the supplier how the opening arrangement coordinates with framing and door hardware. Draw shelves, utilities and maintenance zones so those elements do not migrate into a drive path later.

For a back-in layout, test how you line up before reversing and where a second vehicle waits. Explain your confidence and normal parking routine to the contractor; the most useful design is one you can operate comfortably.
