Adding RV storage spaces in phases

Evaluate first-phase bays, future rows, access and construction routes when planning an RV storage development.

Put the later rows on the site sketch now. Check that the first buildings, gates and drives leave room to reach those future spaces without rebuilding the main access route.

Draw the first phase completely

Include the gate, parking spaces, circulation, customer waiting areas and management access. Show where vehicles turn and how they leave. Ask qualified site professionals to review the operating arrangement for the vehicle types you intend to serve.

Then add the possible future rows on a separate drawing. Check whether their footprint consumes space that the initial layout relied on for turning, staging or service work.

Plan the construction route

Discuss how later equipment and deliveries would reach the work without confusing customer circulation. Identify any spaces that might temporarily close. Have the contractor explain the practical dependencies instead of treating the addition as independent of the occupied facility.

Have the project team check utilities, drainage and gate access for each phase. Record what is actually included now and what remains future work.

Keep stages commercially distinct

Ask for a base scope, optional provisions and future construction assumptions in separate sections. Market demand and financing decisions remain separate from the building concept; additional capacity alone does not establish future revenue.
