Erected shells in North Florida: what to know

There are three common ways to buy a barndominium. A package is only the steel and panels, delivered. An erected shell adds the crew that stands the frame and closes it in on your slab. Turnkey hands one contractor the whole job through move-in. Each step up costs more and leaves you fewer subcontractors to schedule. Owners who finish the inside themselves usually stop at the shell.
