Laying out batting lanes for lessons and team practice

Title formatBody

Put players, coaches and equipment on the plan as well as the nets. Show where the next group waits and how people reach each lane during a session.

## List the training formats

Record the intended age groups, activities and coaching formats. Ask the appropriate coaches and equipment suppliers to confirm the requirements for those uses. Keep hitting lanes, pitching work and other training areas distinct in the project notes. Record which stations are reserved for individual lessons.

Draw a representative session with every station occupied. Show players waiting, coaches working and the route to each station. Include reception or check-in if the facility serves customers.

## Give equipment a complete plan

List nets, pitching machines, screens, tees, mounds and monitoring equipment. Note what is fixed, what moves and what is stored between sessions. Request current supplier planning information for systems that interface with the building.

Show where staff retrieve and put away equipment. A storage location should be considered together with the route used to reach it, especially when other lanes remain active.

## Test more than one arrangement

If the business intends to open lanes into a larger practice area, draw that arrangement separately. Identify where netting and equipment go and who performs the changeover. Have suppliers and designers review the proposed system and its building requirements.

Ask the contractor to distinguish the shell, training systems, floor finish and support spaces in the proposal. A building sized around one activity should not be assumed to support every future program without further review.
