Where to store gym equipment between events

Title formatBody

List the equipment used for each activity, including the items that leave the floor during a changeover. Check the route from the playing area to each storage space.

## Make a working inventory

List sports equipment, seating, mats, tables, staging and any other items the facility intends to use. Record whether each is fixed, portable or stored on a cart. Include the supplier information available for larger systems.

Ask the staff who will set up the gym to review the inventory. They can explain which items move together, which need frequent access and which are awkward in the present facility.

## Draw the storage route

For each main activity, show where unused equipment goes and how it reaches that location. Include doors, corners and the other activities happening along the route. Have the relevant suppliers and designers review the practical access requirements.

Plan temporary holding during a changeover. If the floor is being cleaned while furniture is moved, the operation may need a place for items that are neither in use nor fully stored.

## Coordinate attached systems

Some sports or seating systems interface with the building. Identify the selected supplier, current drawings and the person responsible for coordinating those documents with the structural and building design.

Avoid treating an equipment allowance as a confirmed installation plan. Ask what remains to be selected, when that information is needed and how changes will be handled after the building scope is agreed.
