What else belongs in an RV garage?

Think through unloading after a trip and packing for the next one. Show where you want to open compartments, store supplies and move around the parked rig, alongside the clearances needed to get it through the door.

Walk through trip preparation

Imagine bringing supplies from the house, opening exterior compartments and checking the vehicle before departure. Mark where loose equipment, hoses, chairs and travel supplies will be stored. Storage that blocks access panels or the walk-around route defeats the purpose of the extra space.

Decide whether the building is only for parking or also a place where the RV will be occupied. State the intended use clearly to the contractor and local reviewers. Do not assume a storage building automatically supports every use of the vehicle inside it.

Make utility requests specific

If you want electrical service, lighting, water or other connections, list the desired functions and vehicle requirements. Ask qualified trades to determine the appropriate installation. Separate the cost and responsibility for bringing services to the building from the equipment installed inside.

Discuss ventilation, enclosure conditions and maintenance access in relation to the actual use. List the accessories now so their space and service needs can be checked together.
